When did you join Proxima? Starting with Proxima mid-2022, I am still learning lots and meeting new faces, but the friendly culture and my fellow Proximites have welcomed me into the business, so I was able to settle into my role very quickly.

What is your role as Global Head of Talent Acquisition at Proxima? As the Global Head of Talent Acquisition at Proxima, I lead the development of the company’s global recruitment strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and optimising systems and the recruitment processes to attract top-tier talent. I also work closely with hiring managers to identify and secure individuals who embody Proxima’s values and ambitions, empowering candidates to make the decision to become proud Proximites.

What does a typical day look like? My role is exciting as no day is the same. I get the opportunity to talk to different people across the industry of all levels and backgrounds, discuss hiring plans and strategies with decision-makers in the business, and provide coaching advice to colleagues in the recruitment team.

What’s a common question you get from applicants? The most common question is “What is it like working at Proxima and what is the culture like?” I answer this by sharing information and examples about our friendly, collaborative culture such as our knowledge-sharing communities of practice, our residential training for new joiners, and our internal committees such as GEN, CORE, and Social.

What do you like most about your job? What I love most about my job is the incredible variety it offers and the opportunity to work with people from all corners of the globe. I thoroughly enjoy connecting with individuals, learning about their experiences, and welcoming them into the company. There’s a unique satisfaction in seeing people thrive and grow within the organization—it’s truly rewarding to be part of their journey.

What are you most proud of about working at Proxima? My role is made easier when you work for a company that you believe in. I have the opportunity to offer prospective candidates a great company to work in with fun, professional, and collaborative people.

What do you like to do when you aren’t working? I love to be active and am a passionate cyclist. I also enjoy supporting my football team and going for walks around Hertfordshire with my two French Bulldogs!
